Tools for Schools
Get ready to be part of something special just for you! Educators are so important to our community and we are bringing individuals and companies together to support your efforts in the classroom. One way we do this is by taking in material donations and providing them at a low cost at the Greener Good shop in Palatine, IL. The second way is through our first Tools for Schools event to provide educators with free supplies on July 29th at St. Thomas of Villanova in Palatine, IL.

To keep it local and manageable this first year, we have put together guidelines for who can participate in this event. At this time educators will be able to fill up to two grocery paper bags full of materials. There will be some large and various available for purchase.
To participate in this event:
-
Be in a role as a teacher, instructional specialist or librarian.
-
Be employed this fall at a public or private school in the Palatine or Wheeling township (see the list of districts/schools below).
-
Be an educator in grades Pre-K - 12.
-
Bring a school ID or letter from the principal indicating your school.
-
Fill out an online form for pre-registration or at the event prior to shopping.

Volunteer for the event and get early access to items
This is the first year for Tools for Schools and having educator involvement is so important so you can shape the event to best meet classroom needs. Please visit the SignUp Genius page for opportunities to volunteer July 23rd-July 29th. Those who volunteer for two or more hours can shop early on Friday, July 28th from 1p - 4p or Saturday, July 29th from 9a-10a. Someone can volunteer and "gift" the early shopping to an eligible educator.
